For years, we’ve served our communities as Southwest Alabama Behavioral Health Care Systems—offering support, stability, and hope. Today, we continue that same mission under a name that better reflects our promise to you. CarePath Behavioral Health represents our commitment to walk with you on your journey to wellness, providing compassionate care every step of the way.
Services are provided by a group of professional counselors, case managers, peer support specialists, nurses, and psychiatrists. For persons in crisis situations, immediate care is available 24 hours a day through the Crisis Line Service. Our professionally trained staff provides the highest quality direct care for persons with mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders.
Fees are charged for services provided. Individuals may qualify for a reduced fee based on total family income and size. Some insurance may cover certain eligible services. Transportation is also provided for consumers enrolled in day programs.
CarePath is certified by the Alabama Department of Mental Health and Mental Retardation and is a member of the Behavioral Healthcare Alliance of Alabama.

CarePath Expands Access to Care with MyCare
At CarePath Behavioral Health, we’re committed to making mental health care accessible, convenient, and comprehensive for everyone we serve. To help achieve that mission, we partner with MyCare Technologies, a secure, HIPAA-compliant digital platform that allows us to deliver assessments and therapy services anytime, anywhere.

Through MyCare, our team can:
- Conduct behavioral health assessments virtually or in person
- Provide therapy sessions through secure video or mobile devices
- Coordinate care across multiple providers in real time
- Eliminate many of the traditional barriers to accessing services—such as transportation, distance, or scheduling challenges
This technology enables our clinicians to stay connected with clients, ensure continuity of care, and respond quickly when support is needed. By integrating MyCare into our daily practice, we’re strengthening our ability to provide comprehensive, client-centered behavioral health services that meet people where they are.
